Continued: Washington County police blotter

Snowmobile complaint. Three snowmobiles reportedly ran over trees a resident had planted in the 6000 block of Warner Road. The complainant told police it happens all the time.


JAN. 27

Vehicle break-in. A resident told authorities he saw two people going through parked cars in the 12000 block of Lakamaga Trail. The suspects left after the resident said he fired six shots in the air to scare them away.


JAN. 25

Noise complaint. Police received and anonymous report of someone playing loud music at 6 a.m. in the 600 block of Woodduck Drive. A man in the rental unit the music was coming from agreed to turn it down.

JAN. 29

Scam report. A resident in the 3100 block of Copper Oaks Trail said he’d received a phone call from someone identifying themselves as an employee of the Internal Revenue Service and that the resident owed the IRS a lot of money and needed to call a number to deal with the urgent matter. The complainant said he knew of other people who were receiving similar calls.

JAN. 31

Theft. A snowblower was reported stolen from a garage in the 9500 block of Brookview Circle. An officer looked around in the garage and the snowblower was found next to the lawn mower.
