Suspicious activity. Several unfamiliar vehicles were reported parked in a cul-de-sac in the 13000 block of 47th Street. They were gone by the time a deputy arrived. The complainant was concerned because of past drug activity in the cul-de-sac. The complainant requested random patrols to monitor the area.

COTTAGE GROVE

NOV. 26

Trail complaint. The Sheriff’s Office received a call about brush on the hiking/cross country skiing trail at Ravine Regional Park, 9940 E. Point Douglas Road A deputy checked on the report and found a park employee clearing the trail with a wood chipper.

Animal concern. A deer injured in a collision with a vehicle was put down by a deputy in a ditch on Dellwood Road near Jamaca Avenue.

LAKE ELMO

NOV. 29

Suspicious activity. A deputy found two men sleeping in a running car on 26th Street west of Inwood Avenue at 7:30 a.m. The men said they were waiting to meet someone so they could go ­shopping on Black Friday.

Concern for welfare. A juvenile was reported riding a bike on a pond in the 800 block of Wedgewood Road.

OAKDALE

NOV. 27

Parking complaint. Police responded to a report of a vehicle parked in a driveway blocking another vehicle in the 6100 block of 7th Street. After a deputy located two cans of compressed air nearby, the confused and disoriented driver of the blocking vehicle admitted to “huffing.” His license had been canceled, too. Information was forwarded to the city attorney for charges of driving after cancellation and careless driving.
