Squad car/deer accident. While following up on a report of a deer injured in an accident in the area of Oneka Lake Boulevard and Goodview Avenue, a deputy’s squad car was run into by a deer. The animal hit the rear passenger side of the vehicle, tumbled down and then ran off.
LAKE ST. CROIX BEACH
Dumping complaint. A tenant who was being evicted from a residence in the 1500 block of Queens Avenue dumped a trailer full of trash on the property because, he said, $100 worth of copper that belonged to him had been taken from the trailer.
Traffic violation. A deputy observed a vehicle go all the way around a roundabout in the area of Quinlan Avenue and Division Street and then proceed slowly through the neighborhood it had just come from. The vehicle was pulled over when the driver failed to signal a turn. The driver told the deputy he thought he hit a flowerpot and turned around to check.
Animal concern. Someone in the 200 block of Dellwood Square reported a cat hanging from a fence. The caller was referred to animal control.
MARINE ON ST. CROIX
Suspicious activity. A resident in the 200 block of Tanglewood Lane reported someone knocking on their door and then seeing someone walking through their yard with a flashlight. A deputy found a man in the area, a neighborhood acquaintance of the complainant, who had been walking around tracking a deer.
Suspicious activity. Several people were reported walking around the property of M.J. Raleigh Trucking Inc., 15250 100th St. A deputy found four people who said they were looking for agates. They were told to drop their rocks and leave.
