LAKE ELMO

JULY 13

Disturbance. Police were called to a report of someone in a Dodge truck budging ahead in line at the Vali-Hi Drive-In, 11260 Hudson Blvd. The complainant told police the occupants of the truck were yelling and trying to instigate a fight. Police were unable to locate the suspects or vehicle.

JULY 16

Computer scam. A resident in the 5000 block of Stillwater Boulevard reported receiving a phone call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft interested in removing viruses from the resident's computer. After giving out his password to the caller he realized it was probably a scam and called his bank.

Unruly kids. Several juveniles were asked by police to leave the beach at the Lake Elmo Park Reserve, 1515 Keats Ave., after unsafe and disrespectful behavior. The juveniles had been reportedly flipping each other in the air and almost landing on children in the water. They did not stop when warned by the lifeguard.

LAKELAND

JULY 14

Watercraft violation. The operator of a boat on the St. Croix River was given a warning for not having the proper registration displayed and a citation for having 10 people on a boat whose maximum capacity is seven.

MARINE ON ST. CROIX

JULY 14

Motorcycle/deer accident. A motorcycle swerved and crashed to avoid hitting a deer near Nason Hill Road and St. Croix Trail. Both the driver and passenger suffered scrapes when the motorcycle went down. The vehicle sustained an estimated $3,000 in damages.

SCANDIA

JULY 17

Animal complaint. Several calves were reported in the road in the area of Oakhill Road and Scandia Trail. The complainant mentioned she would appreciate if the owner of the calves fixed the fence that allowed the animals to escape.

STILLWATER

JULY 16

Boat accident. Two boats collided on the St. Croix River near the Andiamo dock when one of them accelerated while docking. The operator of one of the boats hurt his thumb in the accident.

JULY 17

Animal concern. An officer responded to a report of a downed eagle nest and an injured eagle on the St. Croix River near the Hudson channel on the Minnesota side. The eagle, not noticably injured, flew away when the officer approached the nest. The nest appeared to be fine as well.

STILLWATER TOWNSHIP

JULY 14

Disturbance. Police were dispatched to the St. Croix Boom Site on a report of a man screaming and swearing. Police found a man setting up a tent who told them there wasn't enough room at his brother's house for him to stay. He also mentioned his brother didn't allow drinking. The man was told he could not camp in that spot and was taken to an address on 110th Street.

WEST LAKELAND TOWNSHIP

JULY 13

Gas drive off. A blue four-door sedan with Wisconsin plates pumped $30.02 worth of gas at Holiday, 215 Manning Ave., and drove off without paying.

WOODBURY

JULY 17

Forged prescription. A customer brought in two forged prescriptions for Adderall to Walgreens, 1615 Queens Dr. The prescriptions were filled before they were discovered to be forgeries.

Speeding/seat belt violation. The driver of a vehicle in the 2100 block of Woodwinds was given a verbal warning for speeding and a citation for not wearing his seatbelt.
