Another St. Croix River bridge project open house will be held Tuesday from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Stillwater Public Library, 224 Third St. N.

It's the latest meeting to acquaint the public with the massive project, which will take nearly four years to complete at an estimated cost of $670 million. The Stillwater Lift Bridge will go into retirement after the four-lane bridge and its connecting highways open in late 2016.

Minnesota Department of Transportation representatives will explain the project, answer questions and listen to concerns from residents and business owners.

Meanwhile, crews continue clearing land adjacent to Hwy. 95 in Oak Park Heights this week. Work involves removing trees, vegetation and pavement from the former "Village neighborhood" area between Beach Road and Hwy. 95.

Pipe construction work will begin east of Hwy. 95 on June 10. Construction of the new frontage road extension south of Hwy. 36, east of Club Tara, is scheduled to begin that week also.
