Theft of fish house. A fish house valued at $2,500 was taken from Forest Lake, Lake 2.

HUGO

MARCH 11

Animal concern. A possibly sick beaver was reported walking around in the 6000 block of 145th Circle. The DNR was contacted and advised that the animal's behavior was not normal and it should be dispatched. Police removed the beaver from the area and killed it.

LAKE ELMO

MARCH 9

Public nuisance. Police were called to an address in the 900 block of Stillwater Boulevard about trash accumulating in two trailers at the edge of the property. The homeowner was advised that animals were dragging food wrappers and other debris from the trailer and leaving it in the neighborhood. The homeowner told police he'd talk to the current tenants about the problem.

LAKELAND SHORES

MARCH 11

Family assist. An officer located and brought back home a juvenile in the 100 block of Quinlan Avenue who had run away after arguing with her mother.

OAKDALE

MARCH 9

Home accident. Responding to a report of an elderly man who had fallen on a patch of ice in the 8100 block of 4th Street, an officer, with the help of a member of the Oakdale Fire Department, helped the 80-year-old man to his feet and to his apartment. The man told the officer he was not injured.

MARCH 10

Check on welfare. Police checked on a report of a female screaming for help in the 4500 block of Hayward Road. An officer found two young children screaming and playing games behind a residence in the area. Their mother was also outside and after the officer advised her of the complaint, she took her children inside.

MARCH 11

Criminal damage to property. The maintenance engineer of an apartment building in the 900 block of Greenway Avenue reported several garage door handles had been twisted off overnight. No entry was made to the garages. He requested special patrol checks on the garages, as about 15 garage door handles had been similarily twisted off in the last month.

SCANDIA

MARCH 9

Possible gunshots or fireworks. Several people in the area of Perkins Avenue and Pilar Road reported hearing a series of gunshots or fireworks. Police checked the area but were unable to locate the source of the sounds.

STILLWATER TOWNSHIP

MARCH 12

Road rage incident. A driver in the area of Stonebridge Trail and Saint Croix Trail reported the driver of a vehicle in front of him got out of his car and yelled at him. The driver got back into his vehicle and continued, according to the complainant, to drive slowly. The complainant said he backed off but the driver stopped again. The complainant said he drove around the vehicle as its driver yelled at him out of his window.

WILLERNIE

MARCH 9

Open bottle violation. An officer observed a man leave the Dugout Bar at 96 Mahtomedi Av. with a bottle of beer in his hand as he walked to Frigaard's, a block away at 307 Stillwater Road. The man dropped the bottle when he saw the police. He was given a citation for carrying the open bottle on the street.

WOODBURY

MARCH 7

Shoplifter fleeing. A woman tried to leave Walmart, 10240 Hudson Rd., with a shopping cart full of $280 worth of merchandise without paying. She was confronted by an employee of the store, at which point she abandoned the cart and left in a vehicle driven by someone else.
