Centerville

APRIL 17

Theft/property damage. Skateboard equipment was stolen from the skateboard park at Lamotte Park.

Falcon Heights

APRIL 20

Burglary. A 32-year-old woman in the 1700 block of Albert Street reported she discovered a basement window broken in her house. She checked the house and found nothing was missing. The woman believes her ex-boyfriend entered the house and retrieved some of her personal information.

APRIL 23

Burglary. Officers were called to the 1500 block of Hoyt Avenue on a burglary report. While checking the area, they found an open garage door in the 1400 block of Hoyt Avenue. The resident, a 33-year-old man, was contacted. He checked his vehicles and told police they had been rummaged through, but nothing was stolen. There were other reports of vehicles being tampered with in the area.

Hastings

APRIL 21

Theft. A woman in the 400 block of State Street reported she left her residence and when she returned, she found her bed had all the sheets and blankets removed from it and her room was a mess. The woman said she is missing a gold necklace, a plaque she received from car racing and a racing ornament that she kept on her desk.

APRIL 27

Property damage. A portable fire pit was damaged in a yard in the 100 block of Amelia Avenue. It appeared that someone kicked the fire pit and damaged it on one side. The complainant also found yellow paint balls in the yard.

Maplewood

APRIL 27

Auto theft. A 1993 Honda Accord was stolen from the Cub Foods parking lot, 2390 White Bear Av.

APRIL 29

Theft. A woman's vehicle was broken into while it was parked at Maplewood Mall. A purse, wallet, gift cards, cash and Social Security card were stolen from the trunk.

St. Paul

APRIL 30

Fire. A report of a natural gas odor was reported in the 800 block of Aldine Street. Firefighters secured the area, shut off the natural gas, monitored the area and contacted Xcel Energy. Copper piping within a home had been stolen, which resulted in natural gas being released into the building.

APRIL 30

Fire. Firefighters responded to the 400 block of Blair Avenue on a report of a single-family house fire. When firefighters arrived on the scene a fire was burning on the exterior of the enclosed porch. The fire was extinguished. The damage estimate was $500. While examining the house it was found that several windows had been broken. It appeared that a flammable liquid had been poured, but not ignited. The property owner was informed and the house was secured.
