DENMARK TOWNSHIP

JULY 26

Stolen hayrack. A hayrack was reported stolen from a field in the 13000 block of 122nd Street.

GRANT

JULY 25

Underage consumption. Four juveniles were cited for underage consumption after an officer stopped their vehicle in the area of Jamaca Avenue and Ivy Avenue. The driver was also cited under the Not a Drop law.

JULY 28

Loose horses. Two horses were reported in the middle of Jamaca Avenue a block north of 75th Street. Someone in the area took possession of them until the owner could be located.

HUGO

JULY 24

Theft. Tools were stolen from a truck in the 13000 block of Fenway Boulevard. The thief or thieves cut through a fence to which the vehicle was backed up.

JULY 27

Shots fired. Police responded to a report of 20 shots heard in the 15000 block of Everton Avenue. Police made contact with two men who were legally trapshooting in the area but had finished.

LAKE ST. CROIX BEACH

JULY 29

Suspicious activity. Two dolls, one female, one male, both painted black, were found in the 1000 block of Riviera Avenue. The head of the female doll was popped off and the male doll had a rope around its neck.

MAY TOWNSHIP

JULY 25

Suspicious vehicle. Police received a call from someone in the 15000 block of Old Guslander Trail about a white car in their driveway. An occupant in the vehicle told the complainant he was a meter reader. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.

JULY 27

Suspicious mail. A resident in the 12000 block of Parade Avenue reported receiving a threatening letter intended for Michele Bachmann.

MAY 28

Watercraft violation. An officer observed four people, including three young children, riding on a personal watercraft on Big Carnelian Lake. The operator of the watercraft dumped two of the riders into the water when he saw the officer. He was cited for using a watercraft over capacity.

STILLWATER

JULY 26

Boat assistance. An officer checked on a report of a boat stuck on a sandbar on the St. Croix River north of the lift bridge. The pilot was able to free the boat from the sandbar and get it restarted by the time the officer arrived.

WILLERNIE

JULY 27

Fourth degree DWI/conceal and carry violation. A woman in the area of Warner Avenue and Stillwater Road registered .21 on a breath test and was arrested for DWI, police said. Police found a pistol in the car and a knife in the woman's bra.

WOODBURY

JULY 23

Suspicious activity. Police responded to a report of a vehicle parked in the lot of Kowalski's, 8505 Valley Creek Rd., for consecutive nights. An officer contacted a woman who appeared to be living in the car. She told the officer the vehicle had broken down and she'd get it taken care of. The officer provided her with contact information for Washington County Social Services as her situation didn't appear sustainable.

Littering. A man delivering sandwiches was observed throwing a beer can out of the window of his vehicle in the 1800 block of Donegal Drive. He picked it up when he drove by again and the complainant yelled at him. Police contacted him at his job and he admitted to drinking two beers while working. He was warned that any future complaints would result in a citation.
