A house inside Lake Elmo Park Reserve will be removed or demolished, the County Board has decided.

Washington County acquired the house on Stillwater Boulevard more than 30 years ago. It has been used as a rental property but is currently vacant. A recent inspection of the property revealed several problems, the county said.

The house either will be sold to a building mover or demolished. An environmental inspection of the house will be done before bids are solicited, the county said.

Whisler most recently oversaw the upgrading of Mahtomedi's athletic facilities.

The search for his successor will begin immediately, school officials said.
