A St. Paul man admitted Thursday that he confined and beat his girlfriend for three days.
Branden J. Fourre, 22, pleaded guilty in Ramsey County District Court to kidnapping and second-degree assault in the Jan. 28-31 attack.
Fourre will be sentenced July 26, and faces up to eight years in prison. He will also have to register as a sex offender for 10 years.
According to charges, Fourre accused his live-in girlfriend of infidelity. He repeatedly yelled at her, put a shotgun to her head and beat her with a pool stick.
Fourre also broke a chair over the woman's head and choked her until she passed out. Her wrists and ankles were duct-taped.
At one point, Fourre pulled off her pajama bottoms and locked her outside.
He made the woman give him her Facebook password, and used it to post derogatory comments on her profile, charges said.
Fourre called in sick to work one of the days that he detained and abused his girlfriend. Court documents said he asked a friend to deliver tea, honey and Ibuprofen because his voice was hoarse and his foot was sore from the attack.
The woman escaped when Fourre left for work. She told police the abuse had been occurring over five years.
