2 finalists in running to lead South Washington schools

South Washington's school board has named two finalists for superintendent.

Lolli Haws, the instructional superintendent for Washington, D.C., public schools and Keith Jacobus, the assistant superintendent of leadership, teaching and learning for the Osseo Area School District will be interviewed.

Haws began teaching in Minnesota and went on to serve as an elementary principal in Virginia and Missouri.

Jacobus has also served as the director of schools for Douglas County School District in Castle Rock, Colo., and had several administrative roles in Monument, Colo.

The community will be able to meet Jacobus on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at East Ridge High School, 4200 Pioneer Dr., Woodbury. The board will interview him from 7:30 to 9 p.m. The community can meet Haws on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at the District Service Center, 7362 E. Point Douglas Rd. S., Cottage Grove. The board will interview her from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

The board could make a decision Wednesday evening or during a scheduled meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday.
