Body of boater pulled from St. Croix

White Bear Lake man's body found in river

The body of a 46-year-old White Bear Lake man was pulled from the St. Croix River near the Bayport Marina late Saturday afternoon, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff's deputies and Bayport police officers first responded to a report of an unattended boat turning in circles. Deputies were able to secure the boat.

With the help of the Washington County dive team, the operator was found in the water about 100 yards from his boat Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The incident is being investigated by the Ramsey County medical examiner's office and the Sheriff's Office.
