All three lanes on westbound 94 at the Lowry Hill Tunnel have reopened after a four-car crash had tangled traffic for about 50 minutes.

Two lanes inside the tunnel had been blocked since 7 a.m. when the chain-reaction collision occurred, blocking the two left lanes. That left only one lane for traffic to pass by.

That's the good news. The bad news is that the backup still extends to Franklin Avenue, meaning it's still a 20-minute trip from Hwy. 280 into downtown.

Northbound 35W is also crammed, with 10 to 12 minutes needed from 50th Street into downtown Minneapolis.

It was not immediately clear if anybody was hurt in the wreck in the westbound lanes of I-94. Ambulances were being dispatched to the crash scene.
