We end Tuesday's morning rush hour about the same way we began. That's with slick roads and lots of spin outs and crashes.
Here is the current list of accidents, spin outs and stalls that ere having an adverse impact on late morning traffic:
- Westbound 494 at Crosstown, the right shoulder is blocked
- Northbound 35E at Edgerton Street, the right shoulder is blocked
- Northbound Hwy. 100 at Excelsior Blvd, the right shoulder is blocked
- Eastbound 394 at Louisiana Avenue, the left shoulder is blocked
- Southbound 35W at 66th Street, the left lane is partially blocked
- Westbound 694 at Hwy. 100, the right sholder is blocked
- Southbound Hwy. 52 at Concord Street
- Westbound 94 at Groveland Avenue, the left lane is partially blocked
The slew of crashes and the like kept the rush hour on the slow side, but nothing as bad as Monday when snow snarled traffic. Today, it was just sluggish and complicated with incidents in those wonderful special places.
Transit operators were not immue to delays either. By mid morning, Metro Transit buses that were off schedule were about 6 minutes behind schedule at the worst. At 8 a.m., just about half of buses were on time.
