It was an active rush hour indeed with scores of crashes and lots of congestion. The trouble started just after 6 a.m. with a wreck that tangled traffic on eastbound 94 at Hwy. 101. That led to a backup that extended back to Albertville's County Road 37.
In the core of the metro, northbound 35W was plugged up from Crosstown to downtown Minneapolis. A motorist who ran out of gas at 46th Street, a late stall at 50th Street and a fender bender at Franklin Avenue crammed up traffic. At this hour, things are still creeping along with 18 minutes from Hwy. 62 to I-94.
Westbound 94 saw crowded conditions from 7:15 a.m. through the rush. A crash at Lexington Avenue got things started and congestion is still hampering the drive.
Lakeville drivers were slowed by a wreck at County Road 50. That had things stacked up back to 210th Street.
While Hwy. 100 escaped the crash action until a few minutes ago and flowed well, I-494 and the Crosstown suffered most of the morning with drive times that were nearly double normal.
Here are our current list of crashes and where you'll run into delays:
