Passengers who catch the third inbound run of the Northstar Commuter line will have a longer wait this morning.

Metro Transit tells the Drive that heavy freight traffic on the line from Big Lake to downtown Minneapolis is causing a 15-minute delay.

Tim Harlow covers traffic and transportation issues in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, and likes to get out of the office, even during rush hour. He also covers the suburbs in northern Hennepin and all of Anoka counties, plus breaking news and weather.
