6:05 a.m. update: A waterlogged mess

Posted by: Tim Harlow Updated: June 19, 2014 - 6:05 AM

Flooding reports are coming in about as fast as the rain fell, and water is rising on several road ways.

The worst by far is on Cedar Avenue near the Mall of America where nearly a foot of water filled the southbound lanes. Northbound also had several inches of water.

Look for standing water on Hwy. 280 at Broadway and on 494 near Portland Avenue.

Several crashes also are creating tough conditions. That includes eastbound 494 at Hardman Avenue and on Hwy. 212 near Lyman Blvd. in Chaska.

We've got road construction on southbound 35E from Hwy. 36 to downtown St. Paul, leaving traffic down to 2 lanes.  Northbound, a stall is blocking near Wheelock Pkwy.
