Commuters on southbound 35E will run into pockets of slow and go traffic from Hwy. 36 to downtown St. Paul, and that will add 3 to 5 minutes to the normal drive time.
Elsewhere we have the same types of conditions, with areas of congestion on southbound 35W approaching Hwy. 10, eastbound 94 between Hwy. 101 and the Fish Lake Interchange and southbound 494 from Bass Lake Road to Hwy. 55.
The downtown Minneapolis commons has sluggish conditions on eastbound 94 from Broadway to Hwy. 55 while westbound 94 and southbound 35W slow from Hiawatha Avenue over to Park Avenue.
Northbound Hwy. 169 has a few issues due to heavy traffic from County Road 18 up to 494. Plan on 10 to 12 minutes for that trip.
Overall, things are not too shabby for the middle of the rush.
