5:45 a.m. update: Traffic just starting to build

Posted by: Tim Harlow Updated: May 8, 2014 - 5:47 AM

Traffic levels are building in Lakeville on I-35 between County Road 70 and County Road 50. That's the single-lane work zone that we are stuck with for another couple weeks.

Delays are not massive yet, but they will grow as the rush rolls along.

Eastbound 94 has been congested all week between Albertville and Rogers.  At this hour, there is lots of room there and all the way to the Maple Grove split.

We are accident free at the moment on mainline routes, allowing traffic to move swiftly.

In south Minneapolis, look out for police activity in the area of 23rd Street and Lyndale Avenue. A motorist was fleeing police.
