6:45 a.m. update: Plugged on I-35 in Lakeville

Posted by: Tim Harlow Updated: May 7, 2014 - 6:47 AM

It was inevitable that the excruciating traffic jam on northbound  I-35 would develop, and we've got it now. It's nose to nose traffic moving at less than 10 miles per hour between 195th Street and County Road 50 in Lakeville.

Plan on 27 minutes from Elko up to the I-35E/35W split.  Ahead, both of those routes move swiftly from the split to downtown.

Our other slow spot is on eastbound 94 from County 37 in Albertville over to Hwy. 101 in Rogers. The tightest conditions are approaching the Crow River.  Ahead, things loosen past Hwy. 101  down to the Fish Lake Split.
