It's quiet in terms of accident at this hour, but that was not the case during the heart of the rush. A multi-vehicle crash on eastbound 394 just past the 494 interchange blocked three lanes for about a half hour, and that led to a massive back up that stretched back to Hwy. 101 in Wayzata.

South metro driver got caught in a backup on northbound 35W due to a multi-vehicle wreck involving a semi at County Road 42. That crash had three lanes blocked for about 30 minutes. Traffic was stacked up to the Burnsville Split.

The Crosstown saw heavy traffic in both directions between Hwy. 169 and 35W. A wreck at Wooddale Drive contributed to the slowness.

Westbound 94 sputtered for much of the morning between White Bear Avenue and downtown St. Paul. Wrecks at Hwy. 61 around 7 a.m. tangled traffic that never shook loose until after 8:40 a.m.

Southbound 35E had its issues. A broken down motorcycle at Maryland Avenue followed by a stall at Maryland later led to 20 minute drives from 694 down to Spaghetti Junction in St. Paul.

At present, the slowest traffic remains on the Crosstown in Edina and on northbound 35W from Crosstown to downtown Minneapolis.

That's it for today. I'll be back tomorrow morning with more live traffic reports. Make it a great Tuesday.
