The Drive will keep you up to speed with the latest on Twin Cities commuting.

9 a.m. update: Rush hour wrap up

We end the rush hour with a fender bender on the ramp from southbound Hwy. 100 to Hwy. 7 394 in Golden Valley. The good news is that is having a minimal impact on traffic.

Things moved at the posted speeds for most commuters, but crashes at Hwy. 169 at Lincoln Drive around 7:45 a.m. clogged things up for about 30 minutes. Debris blocked the lanes and caused traffic to stack up starting at Cedar Lake Road.

Bloomington drivers had some inconveniences on westbound 494 due to a stall that blocked the center lane near 24th Avenue.  That happened at 8 a.m.

Southbound Hwy. 100 had a crash at 27th Street around 8 a.m. and that locked things up for about 20 minutes.

East metro drivers had no hassles to speak of while north metro commuters sailed right along save for some pockets of congestion on southbound 35W in Mounds View during the middle portion of the rush.

Metro Transit trains and buses moved along without incicent.

The Twins play ball at 3 p.m. at Target Field today, so look for midday and late rush hour traffic problems in downtown Minneapolis.
