Rain in the forecast might slow Thursday's commute, but dry roads and light levels of traffic allowed commuters to zip along today.

A couple incidents tangled traffic this morning. A wreck on southbound Hwy. 100 at Excelsior Blvd. added some time to the drive during the 7 a.m. hour. We also had a crash on southbound 35E at Maryland Avenue that led to congestion that was slow to loosen.

The rest of the system moved right along. That is the case now as maps are green and accidents and incidents are zero.

I'll be back Thursday with more live blogging of the morning rush. As always, questions about Twin Cities traffic are welcome at drive@startribune.com
