9 a.m. update: Rush hour wrap up

A couple of stalls on eastbound 394 is making for some consternation for late rush hour commuters. One is at France Avenue and ahead there is another on the ramp from eastbound 394 to eastbound 94 in Minneapolis.

Westbound 494 bunches up at France Avenue where we have two vehicles on the right shoulder. Westbound has a crash at Penn Avenue. Plan on a few extra minutes if you are traveling through Bloomington.

Northbound 35W is trudging along from Crosstown to downtown Minneapolis. That is still 12 to 15 minutes.

Westbound Crosstown is dealing with a crash at Valley View Road. The right lane is blocked. A semitrailer truck is involved.

Look for activity in the area of Lyndale Avenue and Lowry Avenue. There is a gas leak in the area.

The recent activity is an abberation from what took place on the roads earlier. Lighter than normal levels of traffic made for a smooth commute in the north and east metro. South metro drivers had it pretty good, but 35W struggled during the middle of the rush hour as things got thick from Crosstown to downtown.

Sun-up slow downs had eastbound 394 dragging for a bit, but things have loosened in the past 15 minutes save for the stalls that just popped up.
