Today's commute to work and school was a breeze compared to what we have seen most of the winter. We had only a few accidents and it was nice to see zero spinouts.

The toughest drive was on eastbound 394 where a crash at Dunwoody Blvd. after 7 a.m. led to a backup and a 20 to 25-minute drive from 494 into downtown Minneapolis. Traffic crawled along so slow that the price for the HOT lane was at $6.75 at one time.

Currently things have thinned out and the trip from Wayzata to Minneapoils is 12 to 14 minutes.

Wrecks on southbound 35E at Roselawn and westbound 94 at Hwy. 61 during the 7 a.m. hour briefly snarled traffic, but those wrecks were short-lived and traffic recovered quickly.

No major problems for south or north metro drivers. And Northstar trains ran on time.

I'll be back Thursday with more live traffic reports. If you have questions or see something traffic related, leave a comment here or email drive@startribune.com. I like hearing from readers.
