Keeping tabs on Wednesday's morning commute

Posted by: Tim Harlow Updated: February 26, 2014 - 5:16 AM

Good morning, commuters!

Those pesky icy patches left behind by last week's snowstorm combined with that sneaky black ice that could form since temperatures are cold enough for that could make the drive to work an adventure. Keep the speeds down even if the pavement looks dry.

The first mishap of the morning comes on southbound Hwy. 100 at Cedar Lake Road in St. Louis Park. Look for a couple vehicles on the right shoulder and sticking out into the right lane.

Metro Transit's Northstar line appears to be on time at this moment.

I’ll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.
