Keeping tabs on Monday's morning commute

Posted by: Tim Harlow Updated: February 10, 2014 - 5:17 AM

Good morning, commuters!

Here we go again with the warning to be wary of black ice on the roads. Temperatures are hovering around minus 10 degrees, the ideal conditions for it to form.

So far, so good, but as traffic levels increase, the possibility of spinouts and slick spots will go up, especially on ramps and bridge decks.

At this hour, we are crash free. An accident on northbound 35W at 4th Street has cleared out.

I’ll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.
