8:20 a.m. update: Stacked up on 494 in west metro

Posted by: Tim Harlow Updated: January 22, 2014 - 8:24 AM

Bumper to bumper traffic on southbound 494 is making it a grueling drive from the Fish Lake Interchange down to Hwy. 212. It's at least 45 minutes. Look for a crash at the Crosstown on the right shoulder and one at Excelsior Blvd.

Further to the east, things slow down again near Pilot Knob Road. An accident is taking out the right shoulder.

Both directions of Hwy. 169 and Hwy. 100 continue to be stagnated between 494 and 394. Northbound 100 is the worst with wrecks at 70th Street and Eden Av.

Eastbound Hwy. 55 is crash free from Hwy. 101 to Hwy. 100. The bad news is that it is crammed just like most other mainline routes.

In the east metro, westbound 94 is locked up due to a crash at Woodbury Drive.

Northbound Hwy. 52 has slow pockets from Inver Grove Heights to downtown St. Paul.  It is 17 minutes from Hwy. 55 to I-94.
