The Drive will keep you up to speed with the latest on Twin Cities commuting.

6:45 a.m. update: Hassle-free driving

The morning rush is off to a great start for commuters who are pretty much rolling along at or near the posted speeds.

There are, of course, a few exceptions as we move into the peak of the drive to work.  Expect pockets of slow and go conditions on northbound 35W from County 42 to the Crosstown.  The same is true on northbound Cedar Avenue from 127th Street up to 494.

Westbound 94 drivers have company from Manning Avenue to downtown St. Paul, but things are still moving around 50 miles per hour along that segment.

It's a refridgerator-sized box blocking part of the ramp from Silver Lake Road to 694 in New Brighton.
