Bus riders can expect their pick ups to be delayed. Metro Transit says more than half of its routes are running up to 9 minutes late. Northstar trains also are behind schedule, but light-rail trains are on time.
Minnesota Valley Transit Authority tweeted that "treacherous traffic Tuesday. Thanks for your patience as our drivers do their best to get everybody to work safely this morning."
Even at this hour, traffic maps are red meaning nobody is going anywhere fast. Commuters have told the Drive that their drive to work is agonizingly slow with many moving at 10 miles per hour or less on major routes.
