7 a.m. update: Getting busy on 394

Posted by: Tim Harlow Updated: January 10, 2014 - 7:03 AM

Traffic levels are picking up and speeds are dropping in eastbound 394 from Xenia Avenue to downtown Minneapolis. Part of the reason for that is that the gate arms on the HOT lane at the Hwy. 100 entrance are stuck down again.  Many drivers are using the general lanes from Hwy. 100 to downtown.

In the east metro, a rollover on westbound 94 at the St. Croix Rest Area has traffic bunching up back to the Hudson Bridge.  Ahead, the usual slowness is in place from Ruth Street to downtown St. Paul.

In Maplewood, police are dealing with a spinout on eastbound Hwy. 36. A vehicle left the road and landed in a pond near White Bear Avenue.

Look out for a spin out on northbound 35W at Hwy. 280. It's in the curve and authorities are calling for salt/sand.
