Minneapolis residents can fight back against holiday music soundtracks by joining in a community sing-along at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Loring Park Community Arts Center, 1382 Willow Street.
Pianist Dan Chouinard and violinist Bob White will lead the songfest, one of a series of monthly singalongs at Loring Park. The 90-minute event will be indoors, with refreshments provided.
Community sings were wildly popular in Minneapolis parks between the 1920s and 1950s. Arts center staff revived the tradition several years ago, and about 100 singers of all ages and abilities are expected Tuesday.
