Good morning, commuters!

It's below zero and there is a windchill of near minus 20 degrees to boot, so bundle up if you are taking the bus or train today. It will be mighty cold to stand at the bus stop or on the rail platform for any length of time.

It's also cold enough that black ice is a possibility. We do have some slick spots on the highways, and for that reason roads are in fair condition.

Currently we have two crashes on the system. You will find the right shoulder blocked on westbound 494 at Hwy. 212. A semitrailer truck broke down.

On eastbound 694, look for a crash on the right shoulder in eastbound 694 at Long Lake Road.

I'll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.
