As we head into the heart of the rush hour, delays are mounting on several of the metro area's mainline routes.

In the east, westbound 94 drivers are spending 25 minutes or more to get from Manning Avenue to downtown St. Paul. A crash at Ruth Street has cleared, but the State Patrol is still handling a mishap at Manning Avenue.

Westbound Hwy. 36 is clogged from Edgerton Street over to 35W. Some drivers are saying that is a 20 minute drive.

The north and west metro also has delays. Both southbound Hwy. 100 and Hwy. 169 from I-94 to Hwy. 55 has pockets of congestion making for a 20-minute drive.

The south metro seems to fairing a bit better with only minor delays on northbound 169, Cedar Avenue and 35W.

Westbound 494 is starting to fill in from Hwy. 212 over to East Bush Lake Road.
