9 a.m. update: Rush hour wrap up

Tuesday's rush hour was marked with a few crashes, but overall it was another smooth commute for most drivers.

A couple wrecks and stalls on I-94 in between Hiawatha Avenue and Cretin Avenue in the 8 a.m. hour led to delays that added a few extra minutes to the drive. The late rush hour also was slow on southbound 35W from Industrial Blvd. to downtown Minneapolis due to a wreck at University Avenue.

At this hour, traffic has thinned out across the metro area and there are no major delays to report. There is one crash, which just occurred on eastbound 94 at Hiawatha Avenue. That is has been a tough spot this morning.

Look for single lane road work on southbound 35E at Cliff Road in Burnsville and eastbound 94 at Lake Elmo Avenue. Those are day projects so lane restrictions should be gone by early this afternoon.
