The Monday morning rush hour is in the books, and overall it was a tame commute for most heading to work or school.

MnDOT and the State Patrol responded to a handful of crashes, most of which caused no significant delays. One that did was on westbound 494 at Hardman Avenue. That crash led to a backup to Bailey Road and traffic remained sluggish for about 30 minutes between 7:30 a.m. and 8:20 a.m. Currently things in that area are back to normal, but the Patrol does have a box truck stopped on the ramp from eastbound 494 to Concord St.

Our lone incident at this hour is a tanker involved in a crash on the ramp from southbound 35E to Larpenteur Avenue.

Look out for midday road work on northbound Hwy. 52 at Southview Blvd. The highway is reduced to one lane.

Southbound 35E also has road work at Cliff Road.

Look for guardrail repair on southbound 35W at 82nd Street. That will run until about 2 p.m. today.

On Hwy. 7, the westbound entrance ramp from Hwy. 101 will be closed until noon for dead tree removal. Look for Tonkawood Drive at Highwood to be closed also.
