The future of Nicollet Mall? [RENDERINGS]

Posted by: Eric Roper Updated: September 9, 2013 - 11:07 AM

My colleague Janet Moore wrote this morning about the contest to select a new design for Nicollet Mall.

Twenty one design teams submitted proposals, three of which have been selected as finalists. The designs will be presented to the public on September 17.

The final choice will be up to the City Council, though the $30 million to $40 million project also depends on winning bonding money from the state. Here are the three renderings we published this morning, from James Corner Field Operations, Tom Leader Studio and Daoust Lestage (in that order).
