6:45 a.m. update: Motorist lost a tire on I-35W in north metro

A Highway Helper vehicle is assisting a motorist who lost a tire on the ramp from County Road 23 to southbound 35W in the north metro.

Ahead, traffic goes bad from 95th Avenue to I-694 with the worst congestion from Lake Drive to County Road 96. Plan on 15 minutes to get past that snag.

It's also about 15 minutes to get from County Road 50 up to 110th Street via northbound 35 and 35W through Lakeville and Bloomington.

Northbound 35E from the Burnsville Split up to Cedar Avenue is flowing fairly well.

Eastbound and westbound 694 is not too bad, but do look out for some slowing from Hwy. 252 over to University Avenue. Westbound drivers also will find minor congestion from Lexington Avenue to 35W.

Eastbound Hwy. 212 has more traffic than usual, with pockets of heavy traffic from Hwy. 101 to Wallace Road in Eden Prairie.
