Good morning, commuters!

It's warm and sticky now and the morning rush hour could get wet, according meteorologist Paul Douglas. There could be some showers moving into the metro this morning.

As for the present, the State Patrol is cleaning up a crash involving a semi on eastbound 494 near Delaware Avenue. The right lane is affected.

Overnight road work is still in place on I-494 in Bloomington. Look for it at eastbound near France Avenue and westbound near Lyndale Avenue.

That sinkhole in Robbinsdale remains, as does the closure of County Road 81 between 36th Avenue N. and Hwy. 100. The detour takes drivers along 36th Avenue and Hwy. 100. 42nd Avenue between Broadway and Lakeland Avenue also is closed. Expect this mess to continue through the middle of next week.

Our other work zones where potential traffic problems could develop: Hwy. 169 in both directions between Crosstown and Hwy. 7 and I-35E between Cedar Avenue and the 35E/W split in Burnsville, and 694 from East River Road and Hwy. 252.

I will be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.
