The Drive will keep you up to speed with the latest on Twin Cities commuting.

9 a.m. update: Rush hour wrap up

The rain held off, traffic volumes were lighter than normal and we had only a handful of crashes. That all added up to a fairly nice commute for most people.

As we wrap up today's edition of The Drive, we are incident free. You will run into the road work slow downs on Hwy. 169 from Crosstown to Hwy. 7, and on Hwy. 52 on the Lafayette Bridge in St. Paul.

Westbound 94 is tight from 35W over to the Lowry Hill Tunnel as a result of a ramp jam at 11th Street and an earlier stall near I-394.

Southbound 35E is almost back to normal from I-694 to 94. A crash at Maryland Avenue had tied up traffic for about 30 minutes, but that's all gone now.

This weekend will bring lots of road work, so check back later today for a full rundown of what is in store.
