As we wrote about this morning, there is a controversy brewing at Minneapolis' largest park over a plan to accomodate increasingly popular adventure sports.
At the center of the public-private parntership with the Loppet Foundation at Theodore Wirth Park is a new welcome center. The building would be a home for cross-country skiers, mountain bikers and other popular adventure sports, as well as golfers at the 9-hole Par 3 course.
