That coating of snow and temperatures of 10 degrees is the right recipe for slick roads. We've had scores of crashes and nearly every major road in the Twin Cities metro has been affected.
The Crosstown in both directions from the MSP Airport to Hwy. 169 is jammed. The same is true on southbound 169 from 94 to Hwy. 7.
I-494 in both directions is hardly moving between 169 and Lake Road. It's icy and accidents galore along that stretch.
Wrecks just keep coming in, almost too many to list. Plan on doubling or tripling your drive time.
One driver said 60 minutes on southbound 494 to Hwy. 7. Slow all over.
