Jeremy Olson writes about children and families, and is an overscheduled father of two. His blog tackles the best and worst of parenting, families, health and love. He wants to hear from you - what's going on in your house?
When last we left poor 11-year-old Andy in Chapter 2, he was forced by the ghost of Jesse James to dig for money hidden along a wooded riverbed in Northfield. And then they struck what appeared to be the coffin of Frank James -- all while Andy's chronically late mother searched for him around the nearby soccer field.
Where is this ghostly, four-chapter tale going? I have no idea. You tell me. Read the unfolding narrative by clicking here. Write Chapter 3 and send it to firstname.lastname@example.org by the end of this Sunday. 500 words or less. Scary but appropriate for young readers. Chapter 3 really needs to get the story moving, because there were only be one chapter after that to finish it up. So have some fun and see what freaky fiction you can conjure up!
One submission will be selected as the official Chapter three and posted on the Star Tribune web site on Monday. All other submissions will be viewable as well for interested readers.
