Even if things remain uncertain at the Capitol, the University of Minnesota will review and pass a budget next month.

At a recent meeting, U President Robert Bruininks previewed what that budget might include. A wage freeze. A 5 percent tuition increase for resident undergraduates. The U contributing less to new employees' retirement plans.

Have an opinion about those changes? The Board of Regents wants to hear from you.

When: Noon June 10

Where: Sixth floor of the McNamara Alumni Center, 200 Oak Street SE, Minneapolis

To speak, you must register ahead of time. Call 612-625-6300 or email uregents@umn.edu (Subject Line: Public Forum) by 3:00 p.m. Monday, June 6 with your name, email, phone number, the group you represent (if any), your relationship to the University and a general presentation topic.

The regents' website notes that "the forum will be video-conferenced on the coordinate campuses and speakers from those campuses are welcomed."

The board is set to vote on the budget June 20.
