Readers sounded off about auto services after Whistleblower's recent blog post about a Minneapolis man who discovered workers failed to rotate his tires at Tires Plus on Lake Street. The savvy customer, who was redeeming a coupon for an oil change and tire rotation, spotted the omission because he had marked his rear tires to make sure they were moved to the front.

A technician made an "honest mistake," said Matt Johnson, vice president of Knapquist Automotive, which owns five Tires Plus locations, including the Lake Street shop.
"We obviously screwed up here," Johnson said. "People shouldn't have to check to make sure work was done."
A Tires Plus manager completed the rotation and gave the customer a refund.
