Faribaul woman sentenced in bomb plot

A Faribault, Minn., woman was sentenced Thursday to 4 1/2 years in prison for threatening to bomb eight post offices in southern Minnesota.

Christina Anne Reineke, 39, also was given three years of supervised release when she appeared in Minneapolis in front of U.S. District Judge John Tunheim.

Reineke admitted mailing the threats to bomb offices in Mankato, North Mankato, Lake Crystal, Madelia, New Ulm, Sleepy Eye, St. James and Le Center, killing postal workers and customers.

Reineke, who pleaded guilty Sept. 9 as part of an agreement, originally was accused of threatening 16 post offices and the Faribault Daily News.
