Authorities on Monday identified two drivers -- one from Minnesota -- who were killed in a head-on collision on a western Wisconsin highway.

The crash happened Thursday about 8 p.m. on Hwy. 70, just west of Spooner, according to the Washburn County Sheriff's Office.

Barry F. Banks, 66, of Spooner, was driving his van east on Hwy. 70, when it crossed the center line and struck a pickup truck heading west and driven by Russell J. Naber, 50 of Pine City, Minn., the Sheriff's Office said.

Both men were pronounced dead at Spooner Hospital.
