An 80-year-old Duluth man was killed in a two-car crash Sunday morning, the State Patrol said.
The crash happened about 11:25 a.m. on Hwy. 2, west of Floodwood, Minn., in western St. Louis County. The man was driving east in a 2001 Olds Alero and rear-ended a 2008 Ford F250 pickup stopped in a construction zone on the two-lane highway, according to the State Patrol.
A 41-year-old Burlington, Wis., man driving the pickup and a 59-year-old man from Plainview, Minn., who was a passenger were treated at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth and released, according to the patrol.
None of the men was wearing a seat belt, the patrol said, and no alcohol was detected. Their names were to be released Monday.
