Body at St. Croix Marina ID'd

Last update: November 16, 2009 - 4:38 PM

A Minneapolis man has been identified as the person found dead in the water Friday at the St. Croix Marina in Hudson, Wis.

Conrad Victor Anderson, 61, was found floating near a pier, one slip over from a Hudson police boat. He was a member of the marina, and employees there reported seeing him alive Thursday afternoon.

"It appears that he may have slipped off his boat when he was working on it, and he couldn't swim," said Chief Deputy John Shilts of the St. Croix County Sheriff's Office.

The man's body was pulled from the water Friday afternoon and sent to the Ramsey County medical examiner's office, which hasn't yet determined his cause of death.
