Four deported men indicted, accused of reentering U.S.

Four Mexican men -- two of them convicted sex offenders -- have been indicted in federal court in Minneapolis on charges of reentering the United States after being deported.

The four indicted Tuesday on one count of illegal entry after deportation are: Hector Campos-Arizpe, 32, last address unknown; Jose Edel Godinez-Valdovinos, 29, of Fridley; Oscar Omar Perez-Torres, 36, last address unknown; and Daniel Pizana-Reyna, 29, of Chaska. They were all apprehended in Minnesota.

According to the indictments:

Campos-Arizpe was located on March 6. He had been deported in 2005, after being convicted in Illinois for aggravated criminal sexual conduct.

Godinez-Valdovinos was detained on Oct. 15. He had been deported in 2003, after being convicted in Washington state for unlawful delivery of methamphetamine.

Perez-Torres was located on Oct. 22. He had been deported following a conviction in Nebraska for conspiracy to possess a controlled substance with intent to deliver as well as a conviction in Minnesota for illegal entry.

Pizana-Reyna also was detained on Oct. 22. He had been deported in 2001, after being convicted in Minnesota for third-degree criminal sexual conduct.
